Chatenay-Malabry city-gate

Châtenay-Malabry is a ‘green town’ on a wooded site surrounding a villa in its origins, encountered as the town is entered. These are the factors that AIM Hanemian Architects had to take into account when designing this 60 apartments development.

The design solution called for a striking building in black and white, flush with the maximum limits of the site, and featuring coloured panels as a tribute to the art of Hans Hartung. White balconies project outward from the elevation and create a rhythmic, flowing effect for the building.

The apartments, some of which are duplex, are sited on top of a ground floor base of shops and businesses.
