Le jardin des poètes

This development occupies an attractive contemporary site in the middle of the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the vicinity of Paris. It is a prestigious residential complex of four buildings and car parks forming part of a wide-ranging project to revive and modernize the town.

The Agency has made environmental planning considerations one of the main attractions of the design. The 100 units of accommodation totalling 7,000 square meters of floor space are built around 3,600 square meters of gardens landscaped on a sloping site. It has proved possible to create a 120 places carpark with an entrance at street-level on the rue Dolet. The entrance then passes under the old building and the carpark is sited three metres underground, and thus the garden and almost all of its trees are preserved.

The residential blocks, named Lasserre, du Bellay and Prévert, are linked by glass walkways. From the street the refinement of the Ronsard block can be glimpsed through its large glass window.

Each apartment is finished to a high standard and has prestigious facilities: video entry phone, oak parquet floor, marble floors and walls in the bathrooms, double glazing, etc.
